Mount Kenya is Africa's second highest mountain standing at 5,199m, poised
magnificently on the equator. Her spectacular snow- capped peaks create a
stunning backdrop all year- round, and are crowned to be the only snow-
blessed point on the equator. Africa's most stunning mountain treasures
sweeping valleys infused with jeweled streams and lucent- colored birds
who will befriend you on sight.
Mount Longonot is a stratovolcano located southeast of Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley of Kenya, Africa. It is thought to have last erupted in the 1860s. Its name is derived from the Maasai word oloonong'ot, meaning "mountains of many spurs" or "steep ridges".
A trail runs from the park entrance up to the crater rim, and continues in a loop encircling the crater.
Mount Elgon is an extinct shield volcano on the border of Uganda and Kenya, north of Kisumu and west of Kitale. The mountain's highest point, named "Wagagai", is located entirely within the country of Uganda. It is the oldest and largest solitary volcano in East Africa, covering an area of around 3500 kmē.

5 Days Tarangire - Serengeti - Ngorongoro Budget Camping Safari
Day 1: Tarangire
Departing from Arusha in the morning, drive to Tarangire National Park with lunch boxes. Proceed on a game drive on arrival. Dinner and overnight at camp - either Mto wa Mbu or Tarangire.
Tarangire National Park, gazetted in 1970, is 118km away from Arusha town, which covers an area off 2600sq km that's about 1600 miles and derivers its name from the Tarangire River that flows through the center of the park. The river flows from south to north/northwest and empties its water in Lake Burungi. An exceptional collection of "Acacia tortilis" and baobab trees ahs become synonymous with the name Tarangire National Park. The best time to visit Tarangire National Park to view thewildlife is in dry season, from June-October.
Day 2: Serengeti
After breakfast depart from your campsite and proceed to Serengeti Nat.Park with a game drive en route. Dinner and overnight will be at Seronera campsite.
Day 3: Serengeti
Full day of game viewing in Serengeti with picnic lunch in the park. Dinner and overnight at camp.
You can visit the park all year round but there is less game in the park during the dry season - July /October, where they migrate to the Masai Mara in Kenya. During March to May the herds move in search of grazing to the southern section and in May to June, they move towards the western corridor of the park. Serengeti in the low season will still offer game viewing to match that of any park in Africa, and for some, the fact that there will be fewer tourists may be an added bonus.
Day 4: Ngorongoro
Leave for a morning game drive with your picnic boxes, departing Serengeti for Ngorongoro Crater with an optional visit of Olduvai Gorge en route. Dinner and overnight at Simba Campsite Ngorongoro.
The Ngorongoro crater is the world's biggest whole volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena. It is frequently described as one of the wonders of the world, not only because of its geological magnificence, but also because it serves as an extraordinary natural sanctuary for some of Africa's largest populations of large mammals. Ngorongoro and other freestanding mountains are volcanic in origin, formed during the fracturing process that created the Rift valley 15 to 20 million years ago. When it peaked in size 3 million years ago it was a similar height to Mt. Kilimanjaro today.
Day 5: Ngorongoro
After an early breakfast descend into the crater floor for a full day crater tour -departing mid afternoon for Arusha to arrive early evening.

Kilimanjaro, with its three volcanic cones, Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira, is
an inactive stratovolcano in north-eastern Tanzania and the highest
mountain in Africa at 5,895 metres or 19,341 ft above sea level (the Uhuru
Peak / Kibo Peak). Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest freestanding mountain
as well as the 4th most prominent mountain in the world, rising 5,895
metres or 19,298 ft from the base.
Mount Meru is an active stratovolcano located 70 kilometres (43 mi) west of Mount Kilimanjaro in the nation of Tanzania. At a height of 4,565 metres (14,977 ft), it is visible from Mt Kilimanjaro on a clear day, and is the tenth highest mountain in Africa. Mount Meru is the topographic centerpiece of Arusha National Park. Its fertile slopes rise above the surrounding savanna and support a forest that hosts diverse wildlife, including nearly 400 species of birds, and also monkeys and leopards.
"Ol Doinyo Lengai" means "The Mountain of God" in the Maasai language of the native people. The record of eruptions on the mountain dates to 1883, and flows were also recorded between 1904 and 1910 and again between 1913 and 1915. A major eruption took place in June 1917, which resulted in volcanic ash being deposited about 48 kilometres away.
